Jeppe was born in Aarhus, Denmark and worked as a professional musician until he graduated in Film Science and Art History from the university of Copenhagen. He had his feature debut in 2003 with "Jerusalem My Love", which won numerous international awards. With his second feature length film, "The Swenkas" he won Best International director at Toronto, a Robert (Danish Oscar) and a European Oscar nomination among others.
After that Rønde directed a critically acclaimed 8 episodes TV-series for the national Danish Broadcasting Union (Danish BBC) called “The Quatraro Mystery”.
Rønde was voted best commercial director in Denmark 2010, and in 2013 he won two Cannes Lions, gold and bronze for direction and cinematography.
