About me

Brian Williams studied graphic design the Collage of Art and Design Mountjoy Square in Dublin. He left with a 1.1 Degree in Advanced Visual Communications. Brian specialized in design for print, film and television.

Brian then worked for Works Associates design consultants where Brian began designing for the band U2. He went on to produce award-winning work for the groundbreaking ZOO TV Tour and ZOOROPA tour, culminating in designing the iconic multi-award winning ZOOROPA album cover. Brian won a total of six awards internationally for his work with the band.

Brian left and joined a new design company, Dynamo as partner and creative director. During that time Brian set up a separate television section within Dynamo specializing in motion graphics, live action commercials and television brand identity. Brian developed the brand identity for TV3, TG4, and MTV Music Awards and produced commercials for major brands and Networks.

As the section diversified, Brian moved into directing live action commercials. During his time with Dynamo Brian won seven print awards, six animation awards and four awards for live action directing. Since then he has won seven more Awards for directing commercials.

Brian left Dynamo seven years ago to concentrate on directing commercials and film. His work has won worldwide acclaim for its cutting edge use of traditional film, digital film and groundbreaking computer generated imagery. Recently he has become know for his warm photographic naturalistic style to compliment the more outlandish CG work.

Brian is currently working on various broadcast projects for commercials and feature film projects at home and abroad.

He operates as the futurist Super 68 for motion graphics CG screen projects. He is represented as a live action director in Dublin by Butter, Bang TV in the UK and Virgin Produced in the US.
