As a Managing Partner and head of business development at SCC, Jim is a dynamic leader and 50,000-foot strategic thinker who brings a wealth of B2B and Consumer big brand experience to SCC clients. Jim’s valuable experience on both the agency and client side gives him a unique ability to understand the entire scope of a client’s business. He is particularly bullish on guiding SCC clients through business and strategic planning that help build a strong foundation
for long-term growth and success.
Prior to joining SCC, Jim was Senior Vice President, Group Management Director at DDB Worldwide. While at DDB, Jim led the charge to develop integrated marketing practices including the development and management of the DDB B2B Practice Group, which was awarded B2B agency of the year in 2003.
Prior to DDB, Jim was on the client side at Kimberly Clark before joining McDonald’s Corporation, where he ran integrated marketing programs for several of McDonald’s most important U.S. regions and also ran their global retail licensing business, working to develop branded products for Mattel, Hasbro, WalMart, NASCAR, Otto Versand and United Airlines, among others. In his 27 years of experience, Jim has successfully helped many major brands navigate complex marketing challenges. In addition to the aforementioned brands, Jim has worked on Brunswick Corporation, Blockbuster, Buffet’s Inc., Chevron and Prince Tennis.
Jim has a BA in Political Science and Economics from Southern Methodist University. He’s on the board of the First Tee of Greater Chicago and loves to play golf and paddle tennis. He’s a huge Cubs fan and is still waiting for that elusive World Series win. He lives in Glenview, Illinois with his family, just a driver and wedge from two other SCC Managing Partners.
