This exciting array of styles can be seen in his projects for the NFL, Nescafe, Toyota and Mastercard to name but a few. Christian is always looking for his next challenge, a new technique to learn and his next project to obsess over.
Christian Bevilacqua is a versatile filmmaker and visual storyteller. A consistent thread in his work is innovation, stemming from his creative roots as an animator, an addiction to technology and ability to problem solve. This is reflected in many spots he’s directed, including University of Phoenix “Rocket,” a mesmerizing spot that melds one woman’s everyday life and her dreams to underscore the possibilities of a U of P education; Nescafe “Hypnotist,” driving home its idea with a frozen moment; NFL “Gadget,” using seamless VFX and camera moves to highlight content streaming to multiple screens; and Samaritan “Doodles,” with animated doodles creating empathy around a complicated story. He characterizes his esthetic as ever evolving and inspired by a pleasant barrage of new things. He has won multiple industry awards, among them a pair of Cannes YDAs (Young Director Awards), multiple Creative Circle awards, an ADDY and APA accolades. He’s also been honored in the D&AD Annual. When he’s not directing commercials, Bevilacqua keeps busy with paintings and drawings, a children’s book and a computer game he’s developing
