Raised in the deep south, Dan got a business degree from a big, midwestern university. He worked in Hollywood for an Emmy-award-winning TV show. He has been a traffic manager, print production manager and account executive.
Dan appeared on Saturday Night Live. He went to an ad school. He worked as a copywriter for a decade in New York City. He married a copywriter and produced two kids (neither of whom is in his or Lisa's portfolios).
Dan teaches and freelances. He is the creator and host of the long-running, popular advertising podcast Don’t Get Me Started and occasional writer of his blog, The Headline-A-Day Page. And he has been featured on NPR and in various advertising textbooks, blogs and speaker series.
Dan enjoys, rants, caffeine and proper use of grammar. And soccer. And sleep. And more caffeine.
[NOTE: Dan also really does *not* enjoy referring to himself in third person, but it seemed like the thing to do when I wrote this.]
