After 30 years of experience across multiple markets and leading various operations within the WPP group, including 10 years in London as EMEA CEO of what is now known as VML Commerce, I have returned to my homeland Italy to continue working in the industry at a more balanced pace. This shift has allowed me to explore the business from multiple perspectives.
Currently, I serve as CMO and Head of Sales for a company specialising in AI-supported digital assets production for the fashion and luxury industries, catering to both B2B and B2C needs. Additionally, I am the CEO of Lens Marketing, a management consulting firm based in London (www.lensmarketing.uk ), focusing on purchase journey research, shopper marketing, organisational design consulting for agencies and marketers, and other strategic areas.
Lastly, I am also an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at LUMSA University in Rome, an institution closely connected to the Vatican. I teach a course to an average of 150 students annually , namely On and Offline Advertising, covering the history of advertising, the techniques that make it effective, and strategies to drive efficiency and sales through online performance.
This unique combination of roles enables me to view the industry from client, service agency, and academic perspective, arguably the most comprehensive vantage point to evaluate and understand advertising.
