About me

Melissa Jones has 15 years of experience in the creative business. She has managed and developed visual communications for over 40 brands internationally and in the U.S, including Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, J.Crew, Nike, Reebok, Shiseido, HSBC, and Unilever.


She has over a decade of experience developing websites from concept through to production. She has managed programming and design teams for clients such as Kevyn Aucoin, Madewell, Wes Gordon and Prabal Gurung.


In 2008 Melissa founded Dream The End, an experimental online art space that features thousands of works in music, poetry, fine arts and multimedia. It includes collaborations with a wide range of leaders in the arts including Poet Laureate Mark Strand, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, DFA Records, The Rapture, Director Mike Mills, amongst many other artists, DJs, curators, and art editors.


She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and is the CEO and Creative Director of DTE studio a creative consultancy and design studio based in New York.

Co-founder and Creative Director of Audika Records, an independent record label based in New York City.

Wearer of many hats, we did everything we could possibly do with this little label to try to support the changes in the music industry after Napster changed the game. From artist development to producing records and designing the packaging, this was a labor of love that ended with several fruitful small releases from some incredible talents, the most notable release being the game-changing re-issues of the Arthur Russell archive.

Art Director at Tommy Boy Records, a Time Warner Company and legendary hip-hop record label founded by Tom Silverman. Famous for building the careers of artists such as De La Soul, Queen Latifah and House of Pain amongst many others.

Responsibilities included developing concepts from shoot to production for label artists including record covers, collateral, music videos and all promotional materials. Collaborating with artists, A&R, PR, and management to ensure all internal label needs were met. The management of junior designers, print production, photographers, shoot production and design from start to finish
