About me
Jérôme de Gerlache began his career in Brussels as a director of photography on commercials and films. Creative drive and enthusiasm helped bring about his move to Paris in 2005 where he then directed the short film The Meeting, selected for several European festivals and Short-Shorts in Tokyo.
A personal animated short film about his home country “Do you want to know more about Belgium?” garnered almost two million views within a few weeks of release in 2010 and attracted a great deal of International media coverage.
Jerome’s unabated energy has resulted in a large body of work including a collection of short films, commercials, documentaries, many of which have participated in festivals around the world. His documentary feature Heart of Glass was released in theatres in France in 2016. Currently, he is preparing his first feature film Where we go.
