Alice spent half her childhood in South Africa and half in a haunted house in suburbia surrounded by dead animals…which explains why she started making low budget horror films at the age of 8 and can’t resist a biltong. Whilst in London she graduated Central Saint Martins with a BA in Graphic Design.
After graduating she started her career as a creative at advertising agency 101 where she art directed a series of films for French Connection which went on to win a D&AD award. During her stay at 101 she worked with various brands including Cadbury, Baileys, Innocent and Kettle before realising she wanted to make films about real life and real people. Her next move was to quit her 9-5 and fly to America where she lived in a forest with 10,000 hippies, made her first film and never looked back.
