Nicholas Weigel

Nicholas Weigel is an independent Creative Director - working remotely from Portland, OR. Designing, pitching and directing, On & off site wherever needed. Think of Nicholas as a Para trooping CD from the Pacific Northwest.

An award-winning animation director with 18+ years creating design driven work for outfits like The Mill, Psyop, Laika, W!LDBRAIN, MTV and Atari Games. He has created original show bibles, stand up arcade games, reams of character designs and boatloads of commercial content. Work that has earned him Telly, Annicom and Annie awards as well as appearances in Pictoplasma and Kidscreen.

Nicholas has deep hooks in story, design, and 3D animation production. He draws on music, technology and humanity for inspiration. He is particularly excited when he can get them to coexist in new and exciting ways.

Recently, Nicholas has been directing and collaborating on a wide range of projects including KFC VR, Samsung Gear (prototype), and a Coke AR app.
