Laura is a freelance photographer for Italian photo agency Franca Speranza and teaches Photography at ISIA Communication and Design College in Faenza, Italy.
After graduating in Arts at the University of Bologna she studied Photography at the University of Westminster, where she was awarded an MA in 1999.
In London, besides freelancing, she worked on photography-based community projects at Chats Palace Arts Centre in Hackney and taught Photographic Language at TS2k in Brixton.
Since 2001 she has been travelling throughout China and Hong Kong to work on projects on growing metropolitan areas. Her series on Hong Kong housing estates won the Portfolio prize at Savignano Foto Festival in 2002. A selection of her work on Chinese cities was presented by the Consulate of Italy in Hong Kong into a solo exhibition as part of the Year of Italy in China 2006.
Her work has been published in magazines, weekly newspaper supplements and other publications in Europe and Hong Kong including Grazia, La Repubblica, The Guardian Guide, London Metro, The Hong Kong Standard.
