Currently, I hold the esteemed role of Chief Creative Officer at VML Ogilvy Japan, a chapter spanning the last five years. During this tenure, my purview encompasses overseeing major accounts such as VW, Spotify, and IBM, among others, while stewarding a robust creative department of over 60 talented individuals.
Before my journey brought me to Ogilvy Japan, a brief interlude saw me serve as the Executive Creative Director at Digitas Boston. However, the hallmark of my trajectory transpired over a decade with Ogilvy, China, where I ascended from Creative Director to Executive Creative Director and eventually National Executive Creative Director. My stewardship of the agency's premier accounts, including Nestle, Siemens, VW, IBM, Lenovo, and Mercedes Benz, was marked by notable achievements. I clinched accolades across prestigious global showcases, including China's inaugural Yellow Pencil, a Spikes Grand Prix, and multiple Cannes Gold Lions.
My odyssey commenced at FCB/San Francisco during the pivotal era of Levi's, followed by a stint at JWT in Singapore. Subsequently, my professional journey led me to Dentsu's Mothership in Tokyo after a formative experience at Leo Burnett's in Chicago.
Beyond my professional accomplishments, my personal life is interwoven with cultural diversity. Married to a Chinese woman, I find immense joy in my role as a father to two bilingual sons who often graciously correct my attempts at Mandarin.
