Worked for years as an illustrator and later as an art director at Brazil’s largest ad agencies. In 2001, he founded AD Studio, a production house located in São Paulo. The company has since garnered international recognition for its meticulous work on multiple ads, music videos, shorts, and soundtracks. In 2012, AD Studio entered into a long-term collaborative partnership with Platige Image. Jarbas directed over 450 movies, most of which combine special effects with alternative filming techniques. In 2001, “The Week”, an ad he directed, received the Golden Lion in the Direction, Creation, and Soundtrack categories at Cannes International Advertising Festival. In 2012, he received two more Cannes Lions for “Is the New”, an ad created using stop motion animation.
