Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
To start a journey with you, all the jurors and see relevant works around the globe that could inspire the different things we do in our day. I think to be part of the jury is a cool opportunity to know great people and start to be seen from other people in the industry.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I think it provides to the jury more integrity to judge more than just creativity in the different works. We already know that everyone is creative, in different ways, and that different ways helps to the participants to be more exigent next year.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
It is an incentive for the participants and to have a filter prior to investing in a registration. If it is good, it will be great for the teams and will give adrenaline for the next steps, and if it does not pass, it will help to self-evaluate the work done.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
There must be commitment and passion for the work sent. That is the engine of the industry, passion, if there is that, it is a winner that deserves a PHNX award.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
I think artificial intelligence is the most talked about in the industry lately. Whether it is good or bad, what is certain is that it will never replace the creativity of a human behind a winning idea that may change some paradigm or even the world.
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
In Colombian case, I need to nominate to John Raul Forero and Juan José Posada. Two titans in Colombian industry.
